At our core, we believe yoga is a personal, accessible refuge—designed for real people, not performance. Our private, judgment-free sessions are crafted to meet you exactly where you are, whether you're in pajamas on a tough day or simply seeking a moment of calm. Rooted in the understanding that yoga is about inner stillness, self-compassion, and grounding, our gentle practices focus on breath, gentle movement, and meditative rest to help reduce anxiety, nurture self-connection, and promote mental clarity. No mirrors, no expectations—just a safe space to breathe, be present, and feel more like yourself.

Founder
Hi, I’m Alyssa Henderson, founder of Active Aura. My passion is helping others embrace mindfulness and foster growth through holistic practices.
As a certified 200-hour RYT, with additional certifications in yoga therapy for depression and anxiety, Yin and Restorative yoga, and Yoga Sculpt, I focus on blending strength and mindfulness to support emotional well-being.

I also practice sound healing with crystal bowls, using specific frequencies to align and balance the Chakras—creating a calming space for healing, clarity, and inner harmony. This integrated approach promotes deep relaxation and emotional resilience.

Having personally navigated ADHD, depression, and anxiety, I understand the importance of accessible, compassionate wellness. I believe everyone deserves a safe space to nurture their health and reconnect with themselves.
Currently, I am pursuing further training in somatic movement to deepen my understanding of the mind-body connection. Additionally, I am completing the original 26 & 2 training with Zeb Homison of Yoga Factory Pittsburgh in summer 2026, which will further enhance my offerings.

I am a lifelong learner and a forever student, passionate about exploring new ideas and experiences. When I’m not guiding others on their journey, I enjoy practicing Bikram Hot Yoga to stay energized and centered. I love soaking up the sun, dancing to my favorite music, skiing down snowy slopes, and embracing life’s adventures with curiosity and enthusiasm. As a dedicated foodie, I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new flavors, always eager to discover something delicious. I often find myself curled up in pajamas, immersed in a book about dragons or delving into fantasy worlds, embracing my inner nerd. Whether it's with a comforting cup of tea or coffee in hand, I cherish moments of relaxation and imagination, always seeking to learn and grow in every aspect of life.
